THANKS FOR GRACE…
Celebrating Pastor Shannon & Kami
TODAY, April 26, Noon
April-Oktoberfest Picnic
Thanks be to God for Pastor Shannon and Kami. We are excited today to celebrate Pastor Shannon’s thirty years of faithful service, twenty of which at St. John’s. He has been a wonderful part of St. John’s ministry team and will be greatly missed! We also celebrate Kami for her action in our church and constant support for Shannon in his ministry.
At Noon, we will gather with Shannon & Kami for one more Oktoberfest style picnic. Burgers and brats will be provided. All are invited.
From Pastor Shannon & Kami
Thanks be to God for the people of St. John’s. Together we have shared 20 wonderful years of hearing and sharing the Good News of God’s Love! You have all been such wonderful friends on the journey with us and we are grateful for you. We are appreciative of all the love and encouragement and well wishes which you have shared over the past weeks as we have prepared for our move to North Carolina. We look forward to hearing stories of how you continue to love and care for one another and serve this community!
OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE…

We meet in the Mission Building to make quilts for Lutheran World Relief. We are always looking for sewers who can help assemble quilt tops and those who like to tie quilts. All are welcome. No sewing experience needed. Bring a bag lunch.
OPPORTUNITIES TO GROW…
Bingo Day,
Tuesday, April 28, 1-3 pm
All members and friends are invited to the Mission Building for Bingo! Refreshments and prizes will be provided. Invite friends!
Movie Night “Oh God”
Wednesday, April 29, 6 pm
All members and friends are invited to movie night in the Mission Building! Popcorn and drinks will be provided. “Oh God” is a Carl Reiner that stars George Burns and John Denver. Jerry Landers (John Denver), an assistant manager in a supermarket, receives a visit from God (George Burns), who appears in the form of an old man. Reluctant at first, Jerry agrees to spread the word about his visits from the almighty creator of heaven and earth. However, Jerry’s wife, Bobbie (Teri Garr), is skeptical, and theologians think Jerry’s God is a fake. As Jerry continues to receive visits from God, religious authorities take action and demand that he prove his story. Invite friends!
