Thanks be to God for Pastor Becky Albright who is leading worship today while Pastor Shannon is attending Create in Me, a spirituality retreat at Lutheridge. He wants to thank the congregation for providing continuing education opportunities over the past twenty years to nurture his faith and help him learn and grow theologically.
Acts of Love, Lent 2026
Thanks be to God for all who brought in items for Good Neighbor Medical Clinic, HELP of Beaufort, Hopeful Horizons, St. Francis Center, The Dwelling Shower Ministry and St. John’s Love Fund.
About 30 toothbrushes along with toothpaste were donated for the Good Neighbor Medical Clinic. Over 10 bags of groceries and personal items were donated for HELP. Hopeful Horizons received diapers, onesies, wipes, bottles and $100 in gift cards. $575 in gift cards was donated for the St. Francis Center. The Dwelling Shower Ministry will be receiving over 60 items of needed clothing for their shower ministry.

After 30 years of faithful service, 20 of which at St. John’s, Pastor Shannon is retiring. We will gather with Shannon & Kami for one more Oktoberfest style picnic – burgers and brats will be provided. Bring a side or dessert to share if you wish.
