Our annual stewardship appeal helps us to prepare a Plan for Mission for the coming year – we encourage all who are regular supporters of St. John’s, members and friends, to turn in a Statement of Intent 2025 to help in looking ahead!

Thanks be to God for Denny Burnette, Benny Hom, Josh Lundgaard, and Pastor Shannon, who cut and cleared two trees that Hurricane Helene took down.

The St. Francis Center Food Pantry trailer is at St. John’s the 2nd Sunday of each month. We encourage you to pick up a few extra groceries every time you shop.
Martha’s Animals
Monday, October 14, 10 am
All are welcome to stuff small animals for children who are hospitalized. No sewing skills needed. Meet in the Mission Building. Bring a bag lunch.

Lutheran Men in Mission

All men in the congregation are invited to the monthly gathering of the Lutheran Men in Mission. We meet in the sanctuary for breakfast, Bible study, and fellowship.
Family Halloween Party

St. John’s Sanctuary
All are invited for fun and fellowship. Wear a costume! Pizza and snacks will be served. We will also make popcorn balls, have a costume contest, and end with a Halloween kid-friendly movie.

All are invited for dinner and devotions. Dinner: Baked Spaghetti, Salad and Garlic Bread.
Program: Bible Study/Devotions for adults and kids will be led by Deacon Katie.

Due to the impending arrival of a grandbaby next week, Pastor Shannon needs to push the reading group back a few days. Note the new day is Tuesday.
Pastor Shannon will be leading a reading group on UnClobber by Colby Martin. You may purchase the book yourself in paper, ebook, or audible versions. Copies are available in the narthex.
Harold’s Country Club Outing

arrive at Harold’s by 6:15 pm
All are invited for steak night (or chicken) at Harold’s. Sign up and prepayment is required. The price is $25. Sign up by filling out a slip in church or calling the church office.
