The Festival of Reformation – October 27, 2024
THANKS FOR GRACE…
Roll of Saints – add names today!
All Saints Sunday, November 3
On All Saints Sunday, we remember those who have gone before us to join the hosts of heaven. Please add names of any friends or loved ones who have died in the past year whom you would like to have named in prayer to the list in the narthex.
Annual Appeal: Now It’s Our Turn!
Statements of Intent Needed ASAP
Thanks be to God for all who have responded to the appeal by turning in Statement of Intent 2025 cards. We deeply appreciate your faithfulness and generosity.
The Congregation Council will meet to work on a Plan for Mission 2025 this Wednesday. The more intentions that are shared the more certainty we can have in our planning.
If you have not submitted a statement, we encourage you to do so, using either the paper form or use the online form. The online form is found on the website at: www.SJBft.org/Intent2025

Thanks be to God for your generous gifts to the congregation disaster relief fund. As of the printing, about $6500 has been deposited. Over $5000 has already been distributed to help those in need. Thanks be to God for those who have also made gifts directly to aid organizations.
The blankets, sleeping bags, flashlights, hand warmers, and water members collected were delivered to Skyland United Methodist Church, near Lutheridge. Donated canned food was taken to Asheville-Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (ABCCM). Together with other SC Lutheran congregations, many car and truck loads were collected and shared with those in the areas affected by Hurricane Helene.
