Pastor Shannon has been the pastor of St. John’s since June of 2006. He has lead by example in loving and welcoming all to St. John’s. He continues to preach the good news of Jesus’ love and grace for all. Pastor Shannon graduated from Davidson College and Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary.

Katie Justice

Deacon Katie started at St. John’s during the time of COVID in 2020. She leads the ministry for children, youth, and families in all stages of life. Katie graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Newberry College and a Master’s degree from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. She is passionate about building relationships, journeying with people on their faith journey and being there for people through happy and hard times.

Gloria Bockelman

Gloria Bockelman officially joined the staff in August of 2014. Gloria has been a member of St. John’s since 1990. Her official job title is Program Assistant, but she is typically called the combobulator, a word coined by Pastor Shannon since he is the discombobulator. She is a graduate of the University of Toledo. Gloria does many things from building the Sunday bulletin to creating the stream scenes for Sunday morning, playing the organ and accompanying the choir, updating the website and generally supporting the staff in the mission of the congregation. Gloria sees the love and support of the St. John’s family daily by the many ways they serve and love one another, no exceptions.
